Title INTRAX coiloovers
Description Sunday August 1, 2004
I have a lot of other work to take care of today, so I cannot devote any time to the ULTIMA. My son however takes care of removing the temporary ride height bars and installs the INTRAX coilovers. I notice them immediately when I return home later in the evening. They look very good. He used the lathe shortened version of the 3.25" long half inch thick UNF thread bolts to secure the coilovers to the chassis to ensure that no threaded portion would be resting on the chassis tabs.

At locations such as the front coilover anchoring points, where the tabs are spaced closer together, he used thick flat washers to make up the difference in dimension.

Title ROCK"n AUGUST
Description Saturday August 7, 2004
Another day of errands to take care of, but I do get a chance to pay a visit to the City of St Albert a "Bedroom Community", which is just minutes north of Edmonton and where they have an annual almost week long Hot Rod event called "Rock'n August. It is billed as a "Festival of cars and music". The event benefits diabetes research (in which Edmonton is a world leader) and encompasses music, parades, dances and culminates in a show and shine with judging. They have over 400 cars assembled at the Saturday "Show and Shine" and I spend a very pleasant couple of hours looking at some wonderful hot rods and restored cars. They also have a large stage in the centre of the event where performers reprise nostalgic Rock and Roll and other period songs.

I have the digital camera in the glove compartment and end up taking a few pictures of cars that I think are interesting. I know this is not strictly about building an ULTIMA but be patient, I am hoping to devote the whole day to the ULTIMA build tomorrow.
