I will be away for a while - to Chicago next Thursday, to attend the inaugural USA ULTIMA CLUB gathering. I hope to take a bunch of pictures of ULTIMAs at their varying stages of build and most importantly learn from other builders. I hope to post them on this website.
I also intend to have a good time visiting the abundant architectural masterpieces in Chicago especially the works of Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright. I was last in Chicago in the early seventies with a university tour group and can just barely remember the city. Thirty years is indeed a long time and the memories are all but faded.
The work on my own ULTIMA build will need to be suspended for a short period as well, (hopefully short) since I am swamped with so called "real work" - very "real" because it pays the bills.
The ULTIMA build site is therefore going to remain static for a few months at least, while I catch up on the "bill paying" kind of work.
